The Panel Board Industry and the furniture industry coupled with the construction industry have been going hand in hand and have been growing symbiotically since years, now.
The Manufacturing capacity of Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) is at about 2.0 Mn CBM in India. If one was to break this data up state-wise then Andhra Pradesh wins hands down with the highest installed capacity of MDF and Gujarat ranks no. 1 with the highest installed capacity of Particle board.
It is interesting to note that Uttarakhand and the North Indian states collectively have taken over the installation capacity of Particle Board. The states like Kerela, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh etc. are also slowly picking up pace and have remarkable statistical data following the same.
