It suggested that by partially redirecting to Agroforestry the farmers of the nation can overcome most of their monetary challenges. The Panel Boardindustry is always in demand of Agro wood and agroforestry allows farmers to grow it on their farmlands which in turn allows the industry to buy it directly from the farmers. Within time, it will make the farmers monetarily independent. Apart from serving as an additional source of income, this practice will hugely come in as a savior in times of crop failure. In the longer run, it can actually have a large impact on the infamous and tragic “farmer suicides” giving them an opportunity to flourish and thrive in all conditions.
This system allows treating farm-produce trees as agro-products, which automatically squats the plywood & panel sector industries as Agro-based industries. Such classification will hugely benefit all the parties involved, especially the small and marginal farmers. It would lay smoother foundations for easier certification and standardization of the panel-board industry, making Indian Plywood & Panel Industries Sector more export competitive. And at the same time, it gives the farmers the opportunity to become steadily independent monetarily by adapting to this sustainable livelihood.
